The Rub Hardcore Carnivore BLACK is something amazing, perfect for seasoning steaks and meat of all kinds to cook on the grill or in the oven.
The recipe that Jess Pryles has perfected for this rub, in addition to the classic ingredients contained in all the condiments such as: salt, black pepper, dehydrated garlic and onion, brown sugar and a pinch of chili … also contains an unconventional ingredient: the coal!
Don’t worry, it’s not the same charcoal we use for barbecuing, but charcoal obtained from coconut shells. This ingredient, combining with meat proteins, in addition to amplifying the aroma of the rub, performs two very important functions especially for those who love beef cooked on a bbq:
It facilitates the formation of the “crust” on the meat …. in particular, on cuts such as brisket it is spectacular.
It gives the meat a fantastic appearance, creating a strong chromatic contrast between the outside of our cut which will be very dark and the inside which will instead appear pink and very light, without risking overcooking or even burning the meat.
