Bad Byron’s Butt Rub

Butt Rub was created by Byron Chism in the spring of 1997. At the time, Byron had just graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and had started cooking at a professional level.

Thanks to his childhood in Texas and his neighbor in Santa Rosa Beach who loves grilled cooking, the barbecue has gone from being a Sunday pastime to a real reason for living! Butt Rub emerged in the BBQ circuit scenario and was first sold at Cocoon’s Fine Foods in Seagrove Beach, Florida on May 31, 1997.

To help market his creation, Byron began competing in barbecue contests around the United States, traveling extensively and establishing himself as one of the top 10 KCBS chefs for 7 consecutive years (2000-2007) but these are just a few. the numerous awards.
